Baseline was a 2005 finalist for a National Magazine Award (The Ellies). The awards, considered to be the most prestigious in the magazine industry, honor magazines that consistently demonstrate superior performance in carrying out stated editorial objectives, innovative editorial techniques, noteworthy journalistic enterprise and imagination and vigor in layout and design. Baseline was nominated for a General Excellence Award for magazines with a Circulation of 100,000 to 250,000.

The Jesse H. Neal National Business Journalism Awards have been called “the Pulitzer Prize of the business press.” Established in 1955, the Neal Awards recognize and reward editorial excellence in business-to-business publications. Baseline magazine has won six awards in five years:
